Game of the Matchday

Biggest Surprise
Brentford 3–0 Chelsea
For all of their defensive fragilities, one thing was sure of Xabi Alonso's Chelsea side — they will score a ton of goals. That statement was true all season until they entered the Gtech Community Stadium.
Alonso has got his very own customary "Welcome to the Premier League" game and it has come on rather early in his reign. Chelsea's lethal attack was totally shut down by Brentford as they managed just 2 shots on target during the entire game — a Pedro Neto attempt in the 10th minute and a free kick attempt in the 30th.
Instead of increasing the urgency and the intensity, Chelsea were dumbfounded as Brentford scored then scored and then scored again to win against The Blues at home for the first time since thier arrival to the Premier League.
Best Team Performance
Brighton 3–0 Arsenal
Player of the Matchday
Pascal Groß (Brighton)
At the center of their very successful start to the campaign and their Arsenal demolition is their gem, Pascal Groß. He has started the season in stunning fashion.
Groß, at the ripe old age of 35, does whatever his team needs him to do. This is highlighted by the fact that he was the one who covered the most distance in the match (12.6 km). Not the fastest player on the pitch, or even his team, yet the one who dictates the tempo and he did it to a tee against The Gunners.
2 chances created and a rocket from outside the box which caught David Raya off-guard and opened the scoring for Brighton at the half-hour mark in incredible fashion. Brighton are known for developing young talent. How young is this one!
Honorable mentions - Jannik Schuster (Brentford), Brian Brobbey (Sunderland) & Antoine Semenyo (Manchester City)
Moment of the Matchday
Manchester City found guilty on 114 of 115 charges against them
Cheating seems to be the flavour of the month so I have gone on and paid my respect to Manchester City by cheating in this part of the article as well.
The verdict has arrived in the Premier League's long-running case against Manchester City, with the club found guilty on 114 of the 115 charges. After years of accusations, denials and waiting for the truth to come out, you'd think there would be some clarity. Instead, City have lodged an appeal, and the uncertainty continues. Still more questions than answers.
What happens to the trophies, the records and the history built over these years? What does this mean for the league itself? There are no easy answers, and perhaps that's what makes this whole situation so unprecedented and uncomfortable for The Cityzens.
