Game of the Matchday

Chelsea 2–1 Liverpool 

This match had so many ingredients. Big match status, classic rivalry between two of the Premier League's biggest clubs. Moisés Caicedo set the tone early with a thunderous opening strike, a brilliant goal that ignited the atmosphere. Liverpool, determined to solidify their position at the top of the table, responded through Cody Gakpo, whose equalizer turned the game into a tense back-and-forth battle. The drama peaked in stoppage time as in the 95th minute, young sensation Estevão slid home Cucurella's cross home, providing a dramatic final twist and a massive emotional swing for both sets of fans.

Biggest Surprise

Chelsea 2–1 Liverpool

Liverpool entered the game in an excellent position near the top, while Chelsea had been inconsistent and were without much of their main central defenders and also missing key attackers like Cole Palmer & Liam Delap. For the "injury-ravaged Blues" to beat the reigning champions is a significant upset. This result gives Chelsea some much needed boost and it being Liverpool's second consecutive late loss in London, and third consecutive loss in all competitions, makes their stumble even more unexpected and concerning for the Reds.

Best Team Performance

Arsenal 2–0 West Ham

Arsenal made easy work of the Hammers in a fixture that was a strange banana skin for the Gunners, having last beat West Ham at the Emirates in 2022. Rice put one past his old side with Saka scoring a penalty, while their defence restricted West Ham to just 4 shots — none being on target. They put in a highly professional performance in the London derby, securing a comfortable win and moving to the top of the table.

Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth)

Antoine Semenyo is on a roll! He once again gave a talismanic performance against Fulham to rescue Bournemouth. In the 3-1 comeback win, he scored two goals and provided one assist, meaning he was directly involved in all three of his team's dramatic late goals. That is now 6 goals and 3 assists in 7 matches for the Ghanian who is showing incredible consistency.
